Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao is said to be worth $96 billion. According to Bloomberg, this places him as the world’s eleventh richest person. Binance processes over $11.5 billion in 24 hour volume.
According to a Bloomberg article that looked at crypto’s wealthiest, the enigmatic Binance CEO is worth approximately $96 billion.
It is the first time the Bloomberg Billionaires Index has evaluated Zhao’s fortune, and if correct, Zhao would be the richest person in Asia. Although he had not yet been included to the Index at the time of writing, the article indicated that his fortune places him ahead of India’s current wealthiest person, Mukesh Ambani.
The Binance CEO would be the eleventh richest person in the globe with a total net worth of $96 billion. He is worth twice as much as Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma, who is believed to be worth $40 billion.
American technology billionaires account for eight of the world’s top 10 richest persons. Zhao might soon join them, since he is not far behind Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin, both of whom are believed to be worth $120 billion.
Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook is ranked fifth with a net worth of $124 billion, while Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is ranked just above him with a net worth of $135 billion. Elon Musk is the richest person in the world with a net worth of $263 billion.
Zhao’s net worth might rise much higher if his crypto assets are factored in.
Binance is by far the most popular spot crypto trading platform in the world. Over the last 24 hours, the platform processed $11.5 billion in trading activity. OKEx, the nearest competitor exchange in terms of daily volume, has less than half that at $4.4 billion.
