Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, Alex Bornyakov has revealed that his country has utilized $15 million worth of crypto donations to purchase military supplies, which included bulletproof vests, night vision goggles, medical equipment, and military-grade food rations in a Zoom interview from an undisclosed location within the country.
At the time of publishing, Ukraine has surpassed over $64 million in donations, according to data analysis site SlowMist. A CryptoPunk NFT, which sold for nearly $43,000 in 2021, was one of the donations. RON DAO’s founder, Justin Sun, said he was “glad to announce” a $200,000 USDT donation. Binance, one of the biggest crypto exchanges in the world, has also announced to give Ukraine $10 million to help the nation force with the Russian army.

As a means of forcing President Putin to end the conflict, Vice Prime Minister Fedorov has asked many major multinational corporations to stop operating their products and services related to Russia. SAP, Oracle, Apple, Google, Netscout, Figma, Hitachi, Amazon, and Microsoft are just a handful of the companies he’s contacted thus far.
