Following The $600M Ronin Hack, Axie Infinity Announces A Bug Bounty Program.

Following the heist of nearly $600 million from its Ronin network, Sky Mavis, the studio of the famous Axie Infinity game, has launched a bug bounty to uncover security bugs in its ecosystem.

The Axie Infinity bug bounty, which was announced on Tuesday, is divided into two categories: smart contracts and web-related vulnerabilities. Depending on the severity, rewards for vulnerabilities in the ecosystem’s blockchain and smart contract infrastructure will vary from $1,000 to $1,000,000.

Re-entrancy, oracle manipulation, and signature malleability are among the priority smart contract vulnerabilities highlighted by Sky Mavis. Authentication issues, flash loan attacks, and susceptibility to front running are among the other bugs the team wants white hat hackers to look into.

Rewards for bugs in the online or app interface will range from $50 to $15,000, depending on the severity. Extra bonuses may be given for extraordinary bug reporting, according to the Sky Mavis team.

Bug bounties will be paid in AXS tokens by the blockchain gaming studio. Vesting will be required with a six-month term for fatal bounties with a $1 million reward. This means that receivers will only be allowed to withdraw a certain amount of money each month.

Sky Mavis’ announcement of a bug bounty is the latest measure taken in the aftermath of the Ronin breach. An hacker was able to steal $600 million from the Ronin bridge in March.

Other steps taken since the assault include replacing the validators that were hacked. As part of the reparation for users affected by the event, Sky Mavis has raised $150 million.
