What is Warena?

Warena is a cross-chain decentralized Metaverse where players can invest, develop and earn using their in-game assets. The game focuses on the development of NFT characters, which can be leveled up and customized based on the player’s resource usage. Players then use their NFT characters to further battle and gain more resources, to further improve their NFT and proceed further into the game. These characters are also part of a broader Metaverse, Emporia. In Emporia players can buy land-NFT to further establish their team of warriors, mine resources, develop guilds, organize events, and explore the Warena 3D world.

What is the project trying to achieve?

Emporia is the virtual world in which Warena takes place. Emporia is a finite virtual space that is purchasable, transferrable, and mineable, featuring endless player utility and a variety of active and passive ways to utilize your assets to get the most out of the platform. Emporia has its own decentralized finance zone (Eshuya city) and varied terrain that provides different types of benefits to the owner based on location and topography.

The lands of Emporia, in-game assets, and the NFT used to play the Warena 2D and 3D games are purchased using Rena, Ware, or BNB. The WARE token is the main in-game currency used to improve your warriors’ stats, and special abilities, build up your guild, revive warriors, and buy energy in the Warena games. The project offers players extensive freedom in how they can customize their NFT and develop their DeFi property. This gives players full control over their characters, in-game property, and ways to play and earn within Warena. 

Tokens and resources collected during the gameplay contribute to the in-game ecosystem and can be used in a variety of ways. Eshuya city is the hub of the Warena economy and is an easy-to-navigate open market where players can invest in the Warena ecosystem, as well as the place for the community to trade and participate in the in-game tokenomics. Within the marketplace, each NFT-based character has its own unique characteristics, rarity, and advantages, thus rendering them valuable digital assets. This creates a community-driven free market economy where the market is set by the players. Warena aims to be a true user-owned game, with its own decentralized metaverse within the digital metaverse. It has plans to further develop the game and community through even more customizable player options including cross-metaverse gameplay with other NFT-based games, (Axie Infinity, Illuvium) as well as personalized NFT characters. As Warena grows, players will experience a democratic governance model, via a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).

How to Play & Earn

Phase 1: 2D Tower Defense Game

In the Tower Defence game, gameplay consists of using up to 3 warriors to battle through ever-increasingly difficult stages or to compete in PvP matches.

Rarity, skill, and special abilities are the defining characteristics as to how strong, and thus how valuable the NFT warriors are considered. There are 4 rarity classes in Warena; Common, Rare, Epic, and Legend. All warrior rarities will have their own leveling system, with a cap dependent on the rarity.

Play-to-Earn

The project increases with difficulty with every subsequent level in the 2D Tower Defence game, this makes the act of leveling up a character the key component of the gameplay loop. Matches won will provide earnings in the form of resource rewards. These can then be used to level up and improve an NFT skill and ability level to provide a better chance to defeat higher levels. Which NFTs are leveled up and partied together is the real strategy of the game, and players who can create the best warrior squads will have the most success, and thus reap the most reward.

The beginning of the Warena 3D Metaverse finally brings the true potential of the Warena game ecosystem to fruition, both in terms of establishing the governing economy of the Warena world, and in expanding its gameplay options.

The same mechanics that governed warriors’ rarities remain, and with the 3D game launch, players are able to expand upon their NFT collection. The main NFTs that are available in the 3D Warena Metaverse are Land NFT and Architecture (production house) NFT.

The purpose of purchasing land NFT is to begin to mine for in-game resources. These resources will be needed to upgrade your warrior’s power level as well as perform daily transactions within the game’s market economy. At the center of the Warena Metaverse is Eshuya City, a DEX where players can transact, trade, and auction their NFT, as well as stake their NFT to earn passive rewards. The Warena Metaverse Emporia allows players to fully enter the virtual world that is Warena, earning both active and passive income, giving freedom to the player into how they want to invest and earn.

Resource Points

Resource points are places where special types of resources can be exploited or normal resources found but in more abundance. Every piece of land in Emporia has all three types of terrain (Soil, Forest, and Water) but in different proportions, making each piece of land its own unique digital asset that provides a unique balance of resource mining opportunities. There are two ways of mining Resource Points: 

• Idle (Passive Income) – Build the corresponding mining architecture at that RP location for a daily passive income of the respective resource type. 
• Minigames (Active Income) – Instead of building architecture, everyday players can actively play minigames for each type of RP to receive corresponding resources.

Architecture

Once a player owns a land NFT in the Warena Metaverse, they can also build on it. When there are enough resources (Wood, Rock, Iron) the player can build new architecture on their land by choosing from the available preset architectures.

Players can build two main types of housing; Main buildings and Production Houses. 

The main architecture of the land, players can only build 1 main structure and upgrade it gradually. There are many types of housing corresponding to the types of terrain; Farmland, Forest Tree House, Floating Water Home, or Guild Hall. 

Note: Players must own a Warena Land NFT in order to start their own guild.

Production Houses are the main type of mining architecture and are used to exploit resources of a given terrain. The type of production house corresponds to its terrain; Mine (extracting minerals), Hunting Camp (hunting and harvesting animals), Orchards (harvesting berries), and Fishing House (raising, catching, and selling fish).

Marketplace

In Warena, the marketplace enables players to leverage their NFT and become sellers and traders for themselves. Warena Marketplace is built on the Binance Smart Chain blockchain, so you should have a wallet to buy and sell NFT Warena on the marketplace. The Warena Marketplace currently supports MetaMask wallet. 

In Warena Marketplace, you’ll get to determine the price and duration of your sale. The platform currently features 2 product lines: 

• NFT: Bid and purchase on NFTs from Warenators around the world 
• Mystery Box: Stand a chance to win a rare NFT Warena in a box full of surprises 

Please note, that you cannot return a Mystery Box after purchasing it for any reason, but you can trade the NFT Warena or the unopened Mystery Box. 

The marketplace mimics any real-world free-market economic system. The economy is set by the players based on rarity and demand. As new NFT characters and NFT Metaverse land are released, the economy becomes even more complex, creating fun and creative ways for players can diversify their assets and what resources they focus on.

$RENA Token

RENA is a BEP-20 governance token for the Warena Universe. RENA holders will be able to claim rewards if they stake their tokens, play the game, and participate in key governance votes. Players will also be able to earn RENA tokens when they play various games within the Warena Universe and through user-generated content initiatives.

RENA can be used to evolve, stake warriors, or exchange for other currencies.

$WARE Token

The WARE token is the main in-game currency. It will be used for trading, exchanging, and improving one’s warriors including their special qualities.

The native digital cryptographically-secured utility token is a transferable representation of attributed functions specified in the protocol/code of the project, and is designed to be used solely as an interoperable utility token on the platform. WARE tokens provide the economic incentives which will be distributed to encourage users to contribute to and maintain the in-game ecosystem.

WARE tokens are created as a reward for players when participating in in-game activities such as: Battle Pass, Quest, random events, NFT Lease, or dungeon rewards.

WARE can be used to exchange for other currencies, summon or trade warriors.
