Phantom Is Now Officially Live on Android!

Phantom, one of the most popular Solana wallets, has announced the debut of its Android app. The newest development comes after the company’s iOS mobile app was released in 2022.

Phantom announced on Monday that its mobile app is now available for download via the Google Play store in a Twitter thread. This means its users now can send, receive, swap, stake, earn, and store crypto and NFTs from anywhere using an Android phone.

Phantom also mentioned that the community’s interest in the application was enormous during the beta phase, claiming that over 50,000 individuals took part in the testing period. The Solana wallet has also seen substantial popularity on Android from users in Vietnam, India, and Indonesia, according to the press release.

Phantom revealed plans to offer a mobile version of their wallet in November 2021. While the team is concentrating on a mobile app, co-founder and CEO Brandon Millman indicated in December that there are plans to “add more NFT specific features like being able to buy and sell NFTs.”

Meanwhile, the Android debut comes soon after the Solana-based crypto wallet’s iOS app was released in February 2022. Phantom became a unicorn after earning $109 million in a Series B fundraising round from investors including Paradigm, Andreessen Horowitz, Variant, and Jump Capital.

The blog post claimed new features around NFTs might go live in the next few months, following the introduction of the wallet app on both iOS and Android.
