An Ape was recently sold for 200 USDC by a BAYC NFT holder. A costly blunder? or a ruse to avoid paying taxes? Observers support the latter. The transaction was tweeted by Boredapebot, a service that tracks BAYC NFT sales.

It appears to be both too good to be true and too good to be an accident. The NFTs from the Bored Ape Yacht Club are one of the most expensive collections available. The Ape, which presently has a floor price of 105.1 ETH ($218,006.09), was sold for a sum that even the most irrational person could not imagine.
A police helmet, a pizza, and a bone necklace are among the distinctive features of the #6462 Ape.
