The campaign focuses on XRP, a digital asset built for payments owned by Ripple. Ramon used a Twitter bot to collect donations through a digital wallet, and when the XRP community hit his fundraising goal, he donated 100% of the cryptocurrency directly to New Story.
There have been over 100 small donations, totaling $30k during Ramon’s campaign.
Organize the fundraiser for about six months. This initial donation, converted from XRP to USD, raised a total of $52,000.
With no extra effort, New Story made an extra $22k. This increased the impact of the campaign and allowed New Story to build a total of 5 homes, housing more than 20 people in El Salvador.
Realizing the potential and growth of the Cryptocurrency Community, the fund has partnered with ICON and Echale to create the world’s first 3D printing community, wishing to use cryptocurrency technology to pioneer solutions to end homelessness globally wide fundraising opportunities.
