Dogecoin Foundation Meet Dinner Discussion with Rapper Ice Cube

Timothy Stebbing, a director at the Dogecoin Foundation, has disclosed that he met with Ice Cube, a musician, actor, and filmmaker from the United States, over dinner to discuss integrating the meme-based cryptocurrency into the latter’s Big3 professional basketball league.

Ice Cube meets the Dogecoin team

The Big3 professional basketball league was formed by Ice Cube, an American rapper, who opted to sell the team’s rights using non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The Big3 league chose to sell 25 fire-tier NFTs, giving owners complete control over the Killer 3s’ licensing, intellectual property (IP), and league-approved merchandise.

Bill Lee, founder of MyDoge, a self-custodial Dogecoin wallet, bought all 25 fire-tier versions of the Aliens, a Big3 team, in May.

Big3 appears to have created a collaboration with the meme-based cryptocurrency following the purchase by integrating the MyDoge wallet, which allows players, coaches, and teams to earn Dogecoin tips on Twitter. In addition, the Aliens will prominently display the MyDoge/Dogecoin emblems on team shirts, events, and broadcasts.

Ice Cube recently met with the DOGE team, and it appears that he wants to push the meme-based cryptocurrency’s popularity even farther. While it is tough to make any predictions at this point, only time will tell where both sides will end up.
