Sources told the media company that the deal would make Dapper Labs the second largest source of digital royalty income for the NFL Players Association after EA Sports’ video game franchise Madden.
Just like its other basketball counterpart, the NFT Marketplace will run on the Flow blockchain and is expected to go live during the current NFL season, which ends January 9th.
Dapper Labs closed a $ 250 million financing round on September 22nd, valuing the company at $ 7.6 billion. Previously, Sorare, the football world’s leading NFT store, also successfully raised $ 680 million with a company valuation of $ 4.3 billion.
