Today at Art Basel Miami, internationally renowned pop artist and painter Rob Prior announced a multi-million dollar historic artwork sale. The sale included the purchase of a watercolor portrait of famous fashion designer Virgil Abloh by real estate manager Daniel Pettit for $ 1 million. Before painting the painting directly in Miami, Pettit immediately offered to buy it. The painting comes at a rare 1: 1 scale of the portrait by QNFT, a division of BQT Technologies.

Other sales include a moving portrait of global art icon Frida Kahlo, inspired by her recent sale of her self-portrait ‘Diego Y yo’ at Sotheby’s for $ 34.9 million. He also previously created and sold a pair of large portraits of Bruce Lee and one of his Stan Lee Legacy Collection parodies starring comic book giant Stan Lee, which will go to an anonymous pharmaceutical director in Hillsboro, FL. .

Steven Wang is the CEO of Las Vegas-based fantasy sports company Superdraft. A longtime fan of Bruce Lee Extensive, he was excited to see a preview of Prior’s work while attending Art Basel Miami. Upon completion, Wang bought the portraits.
