NFT’s search volume on Google has surpassed that of the leading memecoin, Dogecoin, despite attracting the attention of so many investors around the world. NFT is now close to Bitcoin after overtaking Ethereum in the first week of December.

The latest data also suggest that the NFT could soon surpass the keyword “crypto” in the coming days.

While it seems to be easing in September, the search for NFTs picks up every time the market rebounds, a sign that the sector is attracting retail attention.

Interestingly, China is dominating NFT searches, even after the People’s Bank of China official warned of increased interest in NFT and metaverse-related activities for money laundering concerns.

While Asian countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and South Korea are ahead of the game, Venezuela is also embroiled in the NFT craze thanks to the explosion of blockchain games and NFTs.

Spatial NFT mapping

An important contribution to NFT’s growth path was the participation of influential personalities such as Tom Brady, Paris Hilton, Pharrell Williams, Post Malone, The Weeknd and Stephen Curry. This has brought NFT culture into the mainstream.

A recent development at NFT is Adidas’ partnership with Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Gmoney and PUNKS Comics. In particular, former first lady Melania Trump’s joining the NFT may not change the dynamic, but it has added space. Now Instagram is even planning to intervene in the NFT.
