Germany celebrates the 2020 European Football Championship with 3 NFTs

The German Football Association (DFB) has formally declared the debut of the Non-Mobile Token (NFT) for the national soccer team in collaboration with the big blockchain-based fantasy soccer game supplier Sorare.

As section of the official permit arrangement, the DFB will utilize the Sorare platform to make digital tokens on the Ethereum blockchain to 18 players from the German federal group. According to Sorare’s statement, these cards will soon be available to be used in Sorare’s Global Virtual Soccer match for the 2020 European Football Championship.

By issuing player NFT tokens on the Sorare platform, the DFB wishes to open up new sources of revenue and provide more chances to socialize with lovers, particularly since limitations associated with COVID-19 have contributed to match limitations lately.

“Especially during the corona pandemic, digital offers were and are the only way to communicate directly with our fans. But even if the corona crisis will hopefully be over soon, we want to use the digital possibilities even more intensively with our partners and offer our fans the best of both worlds, new engagement opportunities, ”stated Holger Blask, DFB Marketing and Sales Manager.

Founded at 2018, Sorare is a worldwide fantasy soccer game which permits consumers with formally accredited digital cards to perform 140 football clubs such as Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus and PSG. Last week, the French Football Association established its own collection of participant NFTs before the match against Germany.
