Welly, Shiba Inu-Themed Burger Restaurant Will Take Part In The SHIB Burn Process.

The Welly team has yet to provide all of the information concerning the SHIB burn process, but it claims to be a participant.

Welly, a Shiba Inu-themed fast food franchise, stated in a recent blog post that it will actively engage in the burning of SHIB tokens with the support of crypto payment platform NOWPayments.

Due to expensive fees, the burger joint will use a gift card system, but the company claims that if Shibairum, a layer-2 solution, is implemented, “everything will be way more simple.”

SHIB and LEASH tokens can now be burned using NOWPayments’ new functionality.

Welly’s also accepts payments in the native SHIB token, and it aims to add support for rival meme coin Dogecoin in the future (DOGE).

Welly had a big rebranding in February, with Shiba Inu becoming the official mascot.

The burger restaurant in Naples then stated that it was ready to expand internationally. Welly claims in a new blog post that the next flagship location might open in early 2023.

The company is also putting in place “the most appropriate applications,” in anticipation of a “wildfire” of franchise opportunities in 2023. Welly promises to provide “healthy” fast food to its consumers, which is meant to distinguish it apart from the likes of McDonald’s.

The burger restaurant has dabbled in the non-fungible token market as well. In late March, it introduced two new NFTs.

To combat bots and “paper hands,” Welly has introduced a whitelist for acquiring NFTs. In addition, the Shiba Inu team recently collaborated with fashion company John Richmond to develop an NFT collection.

With the aid of NOWPayments, John Richmond has also vowed to burn SHIB tokens.
