Cardano Smart Contracts Are Now Supported By The Ledger App

App for a hardware wallet Ledger has announced that the Cardano app version v.4.0.0 is now available in Ledger Live, supporting the blockchain ecosystem’s smart contracts feature.

Ledger’s ‘Great Work’ is praised by Charles Hoskinson – Cardano

Ledger officially stated on April 26 that the Cardano app version has been upgraded to v.4.0.0, which includes smart contract capability.

Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson complimented the crypto hardware wallet business for its “excellent effort” in response to the announcement.

In September 2021, Cardano’s network upgrade, Alonzo, offered smart contract functionality. For more than six months, however, the Cardano app lacked smart contract compatibility.

However, once the business updated the ADA app to include the latest functionality, users may now use the much-anticipated Cardano feature.

It is necessary for users to update their Ledger wallets

Users must upgrade their Ledger wallet firmware and install the Ledger Live App on their smartphone before they may update their Ledger Cadano app to the newest version. Following the software upgrade, users can use YoROI and AdaLite to access Cardano’s DeFi ecosystem. Furthermore, they can sign smart contracts straight from the Cardano app with the upgrade.

In the June hard fork, Cardano and its smart contract platform, Plutus, are expected to see a big gain. The planned Vassil hard fork upgrade in June, according to Founder Charles Hoskinson, would deliver “huge performance enhancements for Cardano” and its smart contract capabilities.
