About Boson Protocol

The Concept of BosonCoin and Boson Protocol (BOSON)
BosonCoin (BOSON) is a decentralized infrastructure for conducting e-commerce transactions. This ecosystem facilitates the exchange of digital value for real-world goods and services through tokenized future contracts. Stateful non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the platform represent commitments to buy and sell physical assets.
The main goal of the protocol, along with its native utility token BOSON, is to revolutionize commerce and enable direct interactions between buyers and merchants with minimal intervention from intermediaries.
BOSON tokens have a dual purpose: governing the ecosystem and incentivizing actions that contribute to a higher supply of quality NFT redemptions. Users can obtain the currency by participating in development bounties, attending meetups, participating in competitions, and being active community members. As mentioned in the official lightpaper, BOSON gains value from transaction fees and the sale of commerce data through Boson's Web 3.0 data marketplace.
The protocol was established in March 2019. According to the roadmap on the official website, the project plans to support e-commerce transactions for i-gaming, NFT art, CeFi, and DeFi loyalty reward schemes by the end of 2021. The first BOSON token sale was conducted through Gnosis Auction in April 2021.
The Founders of BosonCoin and Boson Protocol
Justin Banon serves as the CEO and co-founder of BosonCoin (BOSON). He is an experienced entrepreneur who previously founded Meltfactory, a blockchain strategy consultancy, and Redeemeum, a crypto-native rewards platform. He also held a leadership position in the Travel Experiences Division of Collinson Group, a global loyalty and benefits company.
Gregor Borosa, the chief technical officer (CTO) and co-founder of Boson Protocol, is a skilled engineer with a master's degree in Business Informatics from the University of Ljubljana and an MSc in Digital Currency from the University of Nicosia. He has previously worked as a lead software engineer at the Central Bank of Slovenia and as a blockchain technologist at VEVArica s.p.
Unique Features of BosonCoin and Boson Protocol
BosonCoin (BOSON) aims to introduce decentralized technology to the e-commerce industry and create an open, tokenized economy. The protocol incorporates ERC-20 "Thing" tokens, which are used to purchase fungible commitment tokens for specific goods and services on the platform. These Thing tokens can be transferred and traded using standard DeFi tools, creating liquid digital markets for corresponding physical assets.
Boson Protocol emphasizes the secure and privacy-preserving collection of e-commerce data and incentivizes users by offering monetary benefits in exchange for voluntary data sharing. The platform utilizes Ocean Protocol to build a Web 3.0 commerce data marketplace, enabling information buyers to gain insights into consumer behavior and conduct comprehensive analyses of their business strategies.
The core mechanism of Boson Protocol is designed based on game theory concepts to incentivize honest behavior in trade. It adopts a sequential game structure and features a two-sided deposit system that automates dispute resolution and minimizes losses from reversals.
The platform is community-owned and emphasizes the fair distribution of control and value. The governance of the platform is envisioned to evolve through three stages: startup, scale-up, and a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). In the startup phase, Boson is centrally controlled to achieve protocol-market fit. During the scale-up phase, it imposes minimally extractive fees to further develop the project. Ultimately, it will decentralize and establish a DAO for fully community-led governance.

Potential of BOSON to Reach $10
BosonCoin (BOSON) initially started at a price of $0.75 and quickly rose to $5.3319 after its release. In November 2021, with the launch of Boson Protocol on its mainnet, the token's price showed positive growth again. Considering the active development of the project, BOSON has a good chance of maintaining this price uptrend as it achieves its future goals.
