DOGE KILLER: Introducing Doge Killer (LEASH)
Doge Killer (LEASH) is a token within the Shiba Inu (SHIB) ecosystem. Known as the "Doge Killer," Shiba Inu aims to be the Ethereum (ETH)-based alternative to Dogecoin, which uses the Scrypt-based mining algorithm. Alongside LEASH, there is another dog-themed cryptocurrency called Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), which is tradable on the ShibaSwap decentralized exchange (DEX).
LEASH, BONE, and SHIB are part of the dog coin craze that has taken over the cryptocurrency space in 2021. Other examples of dog-themed tokens include Baby Dogecoin (BabyDoge), Drunkdoge (DRUNK), JINDO INU (JIND), Alaska Inu (LAS), and Alaskan Malamute Token (LASM).
DOGE KILLER: The Founders of Doge Killer
Shiba Inu (SHIB) was created in August 2020 by an anonymous individual or group known as "Ryoshi." As the creator of Shiba Inu, Ryoshi is also the driving force behind Doge Killer (LEASH). Limited information is available about the identity of the token's founder(s). The "Woofpaper," Shiba Inu's whitepaper, provides three reasons behind the creation of Shiba Inu:
"We started from zero, with zero."
"The brilliant minds behind Shib had never collaborated before."
"We love Shiba Inu Dogs."
However, it is reasonable to assume that the impressive success of Dogecoin (DOGE) played a role in this endeavor, and the founder(s) recognized the potential for creating another popular dog-themed cryptocurrency.
DOGE KILLER: Unique Features of Doge Killer
Doge Killer (LEASH) was initially intended to be a rebase token, but the team decided to limit the total supply to only 107,646 tokens. This extremely low supply differentiates it from other dog-themed cryptocurrencies and contributes to its high price. Currently, LEASH is trading at around $1,400, down from its all-time high of over $7,000 in May 2021. Unlike other dog coins that have artificially high supplies in the billions or quadrillions, LEASH takes a different approach, making it a truly unique dog-themed cryptocurrency.
While the team promises "lucrative rewards" for LEASH holders, the specific nature of these rewards has not been disclosed. The governance token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), will be used for voting in proposals in the upcoming Doggy DAO, and the community will likely determine the rewards.

DOGE KILLER: Total Supply of Doge Killer (LEASH) Coins
Unlike Shiba Inu (SHIB), which has a total supply of one quadrillion tokens, Doge Killer (LEASH) has an extremely low total supply of only 107,646 tokens. Shiba Inu famously burned 50% of its token supply by sending it to Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum. In response, Buterin donated 50 trillion SHIB tokens worth $1 billion to India's Covid Crypto Relief Fund and burned 40% of the total supply. Although this initially led to a price sell-off for SHIB, the two communities reached an agreement, and the prices of SHIB and LEASH have been steadily rising since September and October 2021.
DOGE KILLER: Security of the Doge Killer Network
Doge Killer (LEASH) is an ERC-20 token, which is the standard token for new tokens issued on the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum remains a leading solution for many decentralized application (DApp) creators. Its blockchain is transitioning from a proof-of-work (PoW) to a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. The Ethereum blockchain is secured by a set of decentralized nodes that validate transactions, making it one of the most secure blockchains in the industry.
Additionally, all tokens within the Shiba Inu (SHIB) ecosystem have been audited by Certik.
