Flashbots Announced An Upgrade To Address Censorship Resistance Concerns
Flashbots has launched an update that intends to solve censorship resistance and decentralization issues.
Flashbots’ product lead, Robert Miller, addressed similar concerns earlier this month, stating that the company was working on a decentralized solution. SUAVE, a protocol that has been in development for the past year, has been unveiled.
Flashbots is a service that suggests blocks for validators to process in order to maximize incentive payouts. It is a popular third party for this block creation procedure.
Concerns in the community have arisen as a result of Flashbots censoring Tornado Cash transactions. According to MEV Watch, more than half of Ethereum blocks produced today are OFAC-compliant.
SUAVE’s launch comes shortly after Stephane Gosselin, co-founder of Flashbots, stepped down in September following an internal debate about the company’s censorship-resistance skills.
SUAVE intends to decentralize the block-building process gradually through open-sourcing its code and development, allowing anybody to participate. It will handle cross-chain and multi-chain transactions, as well as any Ethereum-compatible blockchain or rollup.
