Uniswap Claims Do Not Track IP And Can Prevent Users From Being Tracked By Third Party APIs
In a recent Twitter share, Uniswap founder stated on Twitter that Uniswap’s official website has clarified the issue of user privacy.
In his share, he stated that the Uniswap web application insists that it will not track IP and besides can prevent users’ IP addresses from being stolen by third party APIs (such as Infura and TRM Labs) using proxy server tracking.
Hayden Adams’ share comes while the centralization of the Ethereum Infura infrastructure is controversial. Therefore, it has received a positive response from the community.
As updated in an earlier Coincu News article, Ethereum Infrastructure Development Company ConsenSys (the main developer of MetaMask and Infura)
updated its privacy policy on the official website on November 23.
In the statement that MetaMask will collect user information when the default RPC is Infura. This policy update provoked a strong reaction from the market and the issue of Infura’s over-centralization brought to the forefront again.
