Sender Wallet Raised $4.5 Million
Pantera Capital led Sender Wallet’s $4.5 million private funding round. This is a cryptocurrency wallet belonging to the Near Protocol ecosystem.
In addition to Pantera Capital, this funding round has the participation of funds Crypto.com, Jump Crypto, Amber Group, WOO Network, SevenX Ventures, Smrti Labs, D1 Ventures, Puzzle Ventures, Shima Capital, etc.
The seed round took place in April 2022, right before the market crash because of the liquidity crisis. Currently, Sender Wallet is valued at $45 million.
Sender is a crypto wallet built on the Near blockchain, supporting users of this ecosystem. In addition, Sender can also connect to hardware wallets such as Ledger and Keystone, or integrate with payment services such as Moonpay, Banxa, and Transak. The project claims to have had over half a million downloads from both laptops and mobile devices.
The founder and CEO of Sender Wallet, Kenny Qi said:
“As a strong believer in the NEAR ecosystem, we at Sender Wallet are blessed to be growing with such a vibrant community. We humbly thank the NEAR community and developers for everyone’s trust and support from day one.
Current market dynamics have proven to be a powerful catalyst for development, and Sender has many exciting features in our pipeline and will bring more Web2 users into the Web3 world. I expect Sender to exceed 10 million users by the time the new market hotspot arrives next year.”
In the future, Sender’s plans include:
- Aggregation of liquidity transactions, Sender Swap: Integrating the liquidity of multiple DEXs on NEAR to provide users with a smoother trading experience and lower slippage;
- One-stop node staking, Sender Pool: Sender builds its own pledge nodes, giving wallet users higher returns and more convenient pledge services;
- Built-in transaction aggregator, Sender Market: One-stop efficient aggregation of NFT markets on the NEAR chain;
- Commercial MPC multi-signature wallet, Sender Pro: Multi-signature hosted wallet mainly focused on corporate and investment institution users.
