SFT Launches Are Now Supported By Magic Eden Launchpad
Currently, Magic Eden has announced a collaboration with SFT for the release of their brand new graphic novel CORE Episode #1.
SFT stands for Semi-Fungible Token, a kind of digital asset that may be minted/traded in multiples of one. In contrast to NFTs, many SFTs can share the same mint address.
Gamers and game developers will be the primary users of SFTs if they include the following features:
- For gamers, SFTs integrate typical web2 gaming elements, such as “stackable” assets, into the blockchain. When in-game assets are not 1:1 and may be redeemed in larger amounts, SFTs are a helpful technique to “stack” like-for-like items in the player’s inventory.
- For creators developing games on the blockchain, SFTs reduce the resources required for players to efficiently mint and transact during gaming for producers producing blockchain games. Solana SFTs share a “Mint Account,” resulting in less storage utilized per asset and reduced minting expenses.
The Star Atlas is CORE graphic novel series based on the story of Star Atlas, a future open-world MMO game set in the year 2620 and constructed in Unreal Engine 5 on the Solana blockchain.
This novel series will be available shortly on Magic Eden Launchpad, according to a recent collaboration announcement. SFTs users may now have their Star Atlas Core Episode #1 on Magic Eden Launchpad.
