Dogecoin Is More Than Just A Cryptocurrency In Turkey
According to a new survey, Turkey ranks second in the world for crypto-related searches and first for Dogecoin-related searches.
The crypto market‘s downturn does not imply a drop in interest in crypto. According to a new study by the cryptocurrency education portal CryptoManiaks, many countries are still scanning the internet for crypto-related material.
The Netherlands and Turkey rank first and second, with 8.2% and 5.5% of the population searching for crypto-related phrases, respectively. Turkey, in particular, accounting for 4.7 million searches, leading the pack in terms of raw volume.
The study converted the total number of searches for a certain set of prominent cryptocurrencies into a percentage of the population for each country to determine the percentage of locals looking each month.
While it ranked second overall, Turkey ranked first for searches relating to the memecoin Dogecoin.
After being accepted as the poster cryptocurrency for internet celebrity Elon Musk, the Dogecoin has remained a prominent digital asset and crypto cultural phenomena.
Despite the fact that the United States and the United Kingdom are key players in the global cryptocurrency business, neither scored first due to the number of searches equal to their population proportions. The United States ranks 15th, with 1.9% of the population searching for these terms, while the United Kingdom is 12th, with 2.6%.
