Shibarium, a Layer 2 protocol created by the Shiba Inu team, will now be supported by non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet Atomic Wallet.
One of the first to declare support for Shiba Inu’s invention was the pocketbook. According to Atomic Wallet, there are currently more than five million users.
Shibarium will benefit from support from a significant noncustodial wallet given the rarity of important ecosystem tokens—aside from, of course, SHIB—on major crypto platforms. In order to facilitate pools on ShibaSwap, the native Shiba Inu decentralized exchange, the Layer 2 protocol will use four tokens: SHIB, BONE, LEASH, and a new one, TREAT.
Shibarium support for Atomic Wallet
Shibarium support for Atomic Wallet has just been announced as the Layer 2 blockchain beta test is about to begin. Although the precise date is yet unknown, the media landscape is expanding and growing more active. Shytoshi Kusama, the project’s chief developer, claims that the long-awaited launch may actually take place shortly.
The focus is not only on SHIB, which has a special role in the running of the protocol as a manner of paying for gas and compensating validators, which is interesting given the stories around Shibarium that are heating up. BONE has just 230 million tokens in circulation, but its number of holders is increasing every week and has now topped 69,000 addresses.
