Chainlink has had an average of 1.4 new partners per day since the beginning of 2021, a sharp increase compared to 2020
The leading Oracle provider Chainlink has integrated itself with an average of 1.4 partners per day in 2021.
According to the file 281 different crypto projects hosted on the Chainlink ecosystem portal have announced their integration so far this year (201 days).
With a total of 650 third-party Chainlink integrations currently, this means that 43% of the project partners were introduced this year. There are now around 250 partners who integrated with Chainlink in 2020.
While many of Chainlink’s partners are little-known projects in their infancy, some of the top players in the crypto space recently partnered with the oracle provider, including Huobi, Hedera Governing Council, and Alchemix.
More and more projects are using Chainlink’s Verifiable Random Function (VRF), which offers decentralized applications a secure and automated solution for randomization.
For example, the blockchain-based game Infinity Skies announced that it partnered with Chainlink on July 20th to fairly distribute its “loot” in the game.
“Since loot is probabilistic and the NFT has real value to the player, minting loot cannot be considered a game of chance,” explained Infinity Skies.
“Chainlink VRF offers the Infinity Skies Smart Contract, which is responsible for opening the chest, direct access to a verifiable and tamper-proof random number in order to determine the result of opening the chest.”
Cryptocurrency developers have come up with a number of new uses for Chainlink’s VRF functionality, with PancakeSwap also integrating VRF for its decentralized lottery app last week. Other projects use VRF to ensure that prizes and rewards are released in a demonstrably fair manner.
