Cardano Announced A Doubling of Bonuses For Hackers Who Find Potential Flaws.

Cardano has announced a doubling of reward for hackers who identify potential weaknesses.

According to the foundation’s Hackerone.com account, the promotion to find security flaws will continue for six weeks, from February 14, 2022, to March 25, 2022, as part of efforts to make the network more secure.

The bounty payment under the Cardano node has been set at $20,000 for major flaws with vulnerability designated high, fetching a payout of $10,000. The award for medium and low bugs is $4,000 and $800, respectively.

Hackers may receive up to $15,000 for discovering major issues in the wallet, while high vulnerabilities are worth $6,000.

Aside from that, the medium and low bugs have been awarded $2,000 and $600, correspondingly.

According to the Cardano Foundation, in order to be eligible for a reward, hackers must offer thorough reports with reproducible methods.

The announcement noted:

“Cardano Foundation looks forward to working with the security community to find security vulnerabilities in order to keep our businesses and customers safe. From this program, we aim to strengthen the Cardano brand through this public bug bounty program, covering essential items to access and manage crypto assets that are issued on the Cardano blockchain,”

The vulnerability discovery contest adds to the platform’s expanding network, which has seen rapid adoption for a variety of use cases. The improvements are likely to have a beneficial influence on the price of ADA.

ADA is now undervalued based on Santiment’s Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) indicator. The cryptocurrency has not been this inexpensive since March 2020, according to the statistics.
