It has since then grown exponentially, to become the foundation of the most iconic eSports tournament worldwide. Fast forward twenty years and the gaming world is still obsessed with playing MOBA games. The average player spends 8 hours a day playing MOBA games; simply because this competitive genre provides endless replay value via its strategic, team-oriented and adrenaline-fueled battles. League of Ancients is eSports MOBA NFT game based on blockchain technology. Players can play for free and choose any of the 10 “Origin” heroes to use at the start of the game. Each heroes have one passive and three active skills. The heroes are categorized into 5 roles based on their utility in the game, which are Tank, Mage, Marksman, Support and Assassin.

Tank
A “meat shield” whose primary role is to absorb incoming damage, disrupt the enemy team, and protect their teammates from attacks. Tanks rely on their durability, high HP pool and engage potential to lead their team into battle and protect their allies.
Assassin
Mastering the technique of stealth and/or mobility, Assassins are crucial to victory on the battlefield. A good Assassin will always target the most vulnerable enemies. Their mastery allows them to sneak pass the frontlines and eliminate key targets, escaping before the enemy team can react.
Mage
A practitioner of magic, who derives their power from supernatural sources. Mages are a force to be reckoned with. They specialize in controlling their enemies with disabling long-range magic while unleashing powerful magic attacks to wreak havoc on the battlefield.
Marksman
Marksman are ranged heroes who are extremely vulnerable but also extremely deadly. They attack from long range with a barrage of projectiles and if left unchecked, they can absolutely obliterate an enemy team in the blink of an eye.
Support
When the odds are not in your favor, this hero class can turn the tides of war. Supports are equipped with special abilities to empower, heal and/or protect their allies. This provides a utility that can turn the tide of the most difficult battles.
League of Ancients Game Mode
10 players will be thrust into the Ancient Realm tileset map where they will engage in a 5v5 PVP team battle. The map is divided into two sides, the Luminous and the Dark Souls. The objective of the game is to destroy the base of the opposing team.
Though it sounds simple, there are several layers of complexity to this. The map is vast and is focused around controlling lanes. Each lane leads to the opposing teams base and is guarded by endless waves of enemy minions and powerful turrets.
Surrounding these lanes is the jungle and river which players can utilize strategically to hunt powerful creatures, escape, ambush and or navigate the map covertly. This PVP game style has been tried and tested for over 20 years, proving to be endlessly entertaining and exciting.
