FIFA Metaverse was first held in the Middle East for fans around the globe to watch top FIFA players compete for the EA Sports FIFA 22 Champions Cup.
This tournament will occur at the Aspire Women’s Sports House in Doha and see 16 players battle for different prizes. Of the 16 players, 12 will play top EA Sports FIFA 22, and 4 are from the MENA region. Four MENA players have qualified online and have a chance to experience what it’s like to compete against experts.
Ooredoo Nation- Gamers’ Land – an e-sports platform, hosted the tournament. The winner will be awarded $25,000, and the runner-up will receive $15,000. 3rd and 4th place winners will each receive a $5,000 compensation.
Commenting on this future development, Nasser bin Hamad bin Nasser Al Thani, Commercial Director of Ooredoo, said the company is very proud and excited to participate in web3. According to him, the movie is in line with Ooredoo’s strategic commitment to investing in innovation. Those who come to watch the tournament live will have more opportunities to interact with Metaverse.
Nation- Gamers’ Land will give NFT spectators free of charge and the chance to meet players and influencers. In addition, they can keep NFT as investments.
