The role of AI and ML in the media and entertainment industry will grow dramatically by 2022, beating sales projections $ 9.5 billion in 2022 when video ad technology is introduced. Due to the competitive pressure from direct-to-consumer services, incumbents (ie pay-TV operators, broadcasters) need to reduce costs, limit disruption and leverage as much value as possible from existing customers. The role of AI / ML will grow here in order to better address households with promotions, to automate more work processes and to better secure home content and services.

AI / ML will also play an increasing role in advertising technology to enhance personalization and contextual advertising and serve as a foundation for differentiation. Metaverse is not completely formed

Despite all the headlines and investments, Metaverse is not coming in 2022 or within the typical 5-year forecast period. Metaverse remains more of a buzzword and vision than a full-fledged final destination with a defined arrival date. What we have today is a number of tech companies building their own version of the “metaverse,” but this multiverse is not fully interconnected, does not yet use open standards widely, and is not reliable (XR) – all principles of super- Reverse vision (some will also list the crypto economy, which is also not true).

However, this does not mean that all that is said about the Metaverse is premature; rather, the technology industry will continue to lay the foundations and build on that Metaverse future. It may take more than a decade for the “full” form of the metaverse to take shape, but there will be many opportunities before then.
