Social Media Giant LINE Will Launch The NFT Market “LINE NFT” In Japan On April 13
LINE, which provides message apps, announced on April 23 that it will launch the NFT comprehensive marketplace “LINE NFT” on April 13.
The marketplace is affiliated with 17 contents such as Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings. Selling more than 100 types of NFT (Non-Fungible Token).
LINE established the “LINE Blockchain Lab” in 2018 and has been working on blockchain research and development. It provides an environment where developers can issue NFTs on the “LINE Blockchain” to build services, and a digital wallet “LINE BITMAX Wallet” that can also be used for NFTs.
Exchange NFTs with friends
NFTs purchased from “LINE NFT” can be stored in “LINE BITMAX Wallet“. It is also possible to exchange NFTs with friends registered on LINE.
In the future, there are plans to provide opportunities to grant NFTs as purchase benefits and campaign prizes, set NFTs on LINE profiles, and utilize NFTs on LINE stamps.
After the launch of the marketplace, Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings’ limited NFT video “Yoshimoto NFT Theater” and Yoshimoto Stamp NFT, which is popular as a LINE stamp, will be on sale. The currently known development contents and participating companies are as follows.

Expanding LINE NFT platform for overseas
LINE is a subsidiary of Z Holdings, a subsidiary of Softbank. The company is also expanding NFT for overseas markets, and announced on the 19th that it will release the global NFT platform “DOSI”.
“DOSI” will be available in 180 countries around the world during the 1Q of 2022 (January-March). Companies and creators can build brand stores and global communities on “DOSI”.
Through the NFT dedicated wallet, general users can also make payments using several types of crypto assets (virtual currency) such as credit cards and Bitcoin (BTC) .
The platform cannot be used in countries / regions such as China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Russia, including Japan, because it is not currently licensed.
