Chiliz, the blockchain platform in the sports sector, has teamed up with the Portuguese Football Association to challenge Fan Token POR for fans on Socios.

In a press release released on the morning of June 25, Socios stated they will be issuing tokens for the Portuguese national soccer team for nearby fans in the subsequent handful of days. Similar to the previously issued fan tokens, the Portuguese team’s fan token (referred to as POR) is produced on the Chiliz (CHZ) blockchain and enables holders to vote in polls and earn VIP rewards.

In addition to Chiliz / Socios, which have partnered with big names in sports to issue fan tokens, other crypto and blockchain companies seem to be in fierce competition to sign contracts, sports franchises across Europe and the License the world.
