According to the Shiba Inu WhaleStats platform, “Gimli” one of the biggest investors on the Ethereum blockchain, stunned the cryptocurrency community by purchasing three enormous quantities of Shiba Inu, amounting to approximately 750 billion tokens.
Purchases of Shiba Inu in incredible amounts
Owner of “Gimli” wallet has purchased three big SHIB lumps of 250,000,000,001, 249,998,999,999 and 250,000,999,999 SHIB. In total, these purchases of the whale have cost him $8.4 million.
The whale currently holds $4,312,591 worth of SHIB in his portfolio, making it the largest token by US dollar value after he has already sold half of the meme units he purchased.
LINK is currently seated next to Shiba Inu, which makes for 19.6% of his portfolio.
Number of SHIB holders rises
The total number of wallets including SHIB has already reached 1,191,766.
While the rise in holders will have little effect on the token’s price, it nonetheless demonstrates a rising long-term interest in the meme coin as its community grows.
