The Ethereum Whale Suddenly Transfers Over $102 Million In ETH
According to the data collected, a whale recently unexpectedly transferred 64,000 Ethereum (ETH) worth more than one hundred million dollars into an unknown wallet.
The wealthy cryptocurrency owner transferred $102,134,766 in ETH to an unidentified address, which is still holding the transferred funds as of this writing, according to blockchain tracking tool Whale Alert.
The sending wallet is controlled by the US division of Binance, the top cryptocurrency exchange platform in the world, according to Ethereum network explorer Etherscan.
Just two hours after the massive transfer, the high-net-worth investor sent a second transaction for 15 ETH valued $23,988 to the same wallet.
Whale alert also flagged several other massive crypto transfers this week:
- 20,054 ETH worth $30,702,630 from an unknown wallet to Huobi
- 6,601 ETH worth $10,090,502 from an unknown wallet to OKX
- 19,999 ETH worth $31,572,906 from an unknown wallet to FTX
- 6,703 ETH worth $10,340,527 from Gemini to an unknown wallet
Currently, the price of ETH is at $1,542.98, up 4.06% in the past 24 hours.
