In a blog post, the San Francisco-based crypto company announced that John O’Loghlen, who joined Ant Group as country director for Australia in July, has been promoted to regional managing director.

Coinbase also announced the appointment of Katie Mitchell as APAC head of policy to lead the company’s relationship with local authorities.

Mitchell formerly served as Crypto.com’s worldwide head of public policy and government relations, and before that, spent a decade at Visa in policy-related roles in Washington, D.C., and Asia-Pacific headquarters.

O’Loghlen is a member of the industry group Blockchain Australia, while Mitchell is an advisory board member of the Emerging Payments Association Asia.

Meanwhile, according to persons familiar with the situation, APAC head of market operations Marc Robinson and Justin Choi, APAC head of corporate development and initiatives, have also departed the company.

Recently, the exchange is also announced a $500,000 developer grant program to help those making progress in on-chain accounting, privacy-preserving techniques for proof of assets or liabilities, and other related technologies or teams.
