Mirror is a decentralized Ethereum-based publishing protocol that breaks the competitive model while keeping an eye on subscriptions and other features. The ETH-based mirror is a decentralized blogging protocol that can now be used by anyone, whereas in the past there was a need to vote on potential users in the existing community. Mirror was first released in December but is now open to all YouTubers. Prior to today’s announcement, YouTubers were able to gain access to Mirror by collecting votes in the weekly WRITE race. Existing users have two hours to vote on applications that use the protocol’s WRITE token, making it something of a popularity contest. The top 10 finishers will receive a WRITE token dropped from the air, which they can redeem for a .xyz blog hosted by Mirror.
