RTFKT is working with Daz 3D to improve NFT’s metaverse
RTFKT Studios, alleged artifact, announced a collaboration with software developer Daz 3D to use their technology to create immersive, three-dimensional avatars for the upcoming indelible token or NFT release, CloneX.
Founded by Chris Le, Benoit Pagotto and Steven Vasilev, RTKFT has evolved at the forefront of next-generation sneaker culture by combining the burgeoning technologies of augmented reality, impossible tokens that, among other things, alter and validate the blockchain, to form their brand of NFT sneakers.
RTKFT’s newest pfp avatar project will use Daz 3D’s PFP Utilities Suite to expand the capabilities of avatars across multiple settings, including gaming, video, social and metaverse.
Daz 3D’s software platform hosts more than 4 million artists and designers around the world. Their partnership with RTKFT is expected to be the first of many creations between the two companies over the next year.
Cointelegraph spoke to Chris Le, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of RTKFT to learn more about the reasons for the Daz 3D collaboration:
“I’ve always been a huge supporter of Utah. Born and raised here, working with another well-established Utah 3D company helped me. Not many people know this, but 3D was invented in Utah by Ed Catmull – co-founder of Pixar and former president of Walt Disney Animation Studios – at the University of Utah. I feel it is time to continue the torch. “
Speaking of the architectural vision for the collaboration, Le shared a hilarious comment that is widely used in the digital graphics community: “Daz 3D and RTFKT are also going to create something new [Utah] Teapot. “

RTFKT introduced New Yorkers in Times Square this week to their upcoming Avatar project for the JPEG event everyone was talking about, NFT NYC.

The highly anticipated Clone X project is set to start later this month and will include 20,000 avatars, half of which will be available to existing RTFKT owners during a 48-hour pre-sale event, followed by the other half in a public auction in the Netherlands. .
Later in the conversation, we asked Le if he believed this had become a key feature that will make emerging pfp-NFT projects “metavers-ready” at launch.
“Right. This will start the era of AR / VR experiences on a different level. Everyone will want a place to use their NFT, whether it’s their own home on Metaverse, Metaverse mode on Metaverse- Parties or create his own avatar. “
