Scam Link For Louis Vuitton Was Shared On The BEEPLE Twitter Account

Mike Winkelmann, also known as BEEPLE, a graphic artist, had his Twitter account hijacked today to promote a cryptocurrency fraud. His account was hacked and a bogus link to a cooperation with fashion designer Louis Vuitton was shared.

“Beeple’s Twitter account has been compromised (ATO) to broadcast a phishing URL to steal funds,” tweeted Harry.ETH, a security researcher from MetaMask/MyCrypto.

BEEPLE’s account was hacked to send a bogus link to a “official raffle entry”

Twitter users warned others not to click on it after their wallets were robbed of Ethereum.

Louis Vuitton commissioned to create non-fungible token (NFT) art as prizes for the Louis: The Game lottery and game.

According to his Twitter feed, BEEP has almost 672,000 followers. BEEPLE sold an NFT for a record $69 million at an auction last year.
