Arbitrum Founder Opposes Companies Marketing The New zkEVM Launch
The co-founder of OffChain Labs, the company behind the Layer 2 scaling solution Arbitrum, hit back at companies marketing the upcoming launch of products built on top of zkEVM.
zkEVMs are a type of zero-knowledge (ZK) rollup that involve porting over Ethereum smart contracts without requiring a change in code or rules.
According to a twitter post by Steven Goldfeder, the Arbitrum co-founder announced that at firms marketing cannot launch products built on zkEVM for 12 days.
Several companies have remarked that a zkEVM will be ready on mainnet before the end of the month. But OffChain Labs co-founder Steven Goldfeder insisted that this isn’t the case.
One of the core technical teams behind Ethereum’s transition to proof-of-stake has been acquired by Offchain Labs.
