Zuckerberg Turns Into The Villain In The Web3 Game The Rabbit Hole
Independent animation technology company AMGI Studios plans to release the Web3 game The Rabbit Hole on the Epic Games Store in the fourth quarter of this year or the first quarter of next year. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will play “Corporate Overlord Metazuckbot” villain.
According to a recent report by The Block, Mark Zuckerberg will transform into a super villain in a web3 game coming out in Q4 of this year from AMGI Studios.
A Web3 game called The Rabbit Hole features characters “set out to protect Web3 from the corporate lord, Metazuckbot.”
The game has received funding from Yield Guild Games, Emfarsis, Delphi Digital and Bitkraft Ventures. Its strong team of 50 includes developers with experience working on Call of Duty and Medal of Honor, as well as artists and animators from Pixar and Disney. The specific funding amount has not been disclosed. The new financial source will be used to continue building AMGI’s supermarket.
As a lover of the metaverse, however, in this Q3 earnings report, Meta Platforms recorded third-quarter revenue of just $285 million in Facebook Reality Labs (FRL), which includes actual operations. virtual and augmented. This was much lower than experts’ forecast of $406 million and down from $452 million in the second quarter.
FRL lost $3.7 billion in the third quarter, up from $2.8 billion in the previous quarter. Thus, from announcing the change of name to Meta to reflect the strategy of developing the metaverse virtual universe, billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s technology group reported a loss of $9.4 billion for Reality Labs alone.
Maybe Metazuckbot will be more successful in the metaverse. Rabbit Hole is scheduled to release in Q4 2022 or Q1 2023 on the Epic Games Store.
